Welcome to LSI Workshop!
I’m so glad you’re here. Thank you for taking time out of your day (which I know is insanely busy) to read this and spend a few minutes with me. To start things off, I want to introduce myself and share a bit of my story. I’m Laura Stein—designer, mentor, and founder of Laura Stein Interiors and LSI Workshop.
I’ve spent over 20 years in the interior design industry. After leaving a career in marketing, I started my business in a spare bedroom in my parents’ house. Thankfully, I quickly outgrew my brother’s old bedroom and built my business into a full-scale luxury design firm – with a team, a studio, international awards, publications, and a body of work I’m proud of.
Over the years, I’ve learned a lot about what it takes to grow a design business. Not just how to manage projects or create beautiful spaces, but how to shape a profitable practice that reflects who you are creatively and professionally. One that’s sustainable, and feels authentic.
But sometimes authenticity requires a shift.
A New Chapter
I started my business in my 30s. My goals were big and I was full of ambition. But after two decades of growth and success, I found myself at a turning point. My business no longer felt aligned with the life I wanted. My priorities had shifted, and I needed something different. I wanted to make a bigger impact on our industry in a way that felt more meaningful and useful.
And after 20 years, I realized I had something else to offer: experience, perspective, and a deep understanding of what it really takes to build a fulfilling creative business. That’s what led me to create LSI Workshop. My priorities have shifted, but my goals are still big.

Enter LSI Workshop
LSI Workshop is the next chapter of my career; a space where design, business, and creativity intersect. It’s for interior decorators and designers who want to grow their businesses in a way that’s rooted in their own creative voice, leadership, and the quality of what they create—their work, their brand, and the experience they deliver to their clients.
I chose the name “LSI Workshop” because a workshop, in the traditional sense, is where things are created and built. A workshop is a space ideas blossom, where experimentation happens, and where mentorship and learning take place. It’s a place where people master their craft. That’s what this space is meant to be for you. And the LSI stands for Laura Stein Interiors, the name of my design firm and the space where, over the last 20+ years, I’ve learned and mastered my craft.
Here’s what we focus on, and how we can work together to grow your interior design business:
- Mentorship – Results-driven, no-nonsense mentorship that builds long-term growth and profitability, either private one-to-one sessions, or in my signature group program, Inside the Studio.
- Client Experience Templates – Easy to use, professionally written and beautifully designed templates that ensure your client experience meets you at the next level.
- Online Workshops and Courses – Online courses (coming soon!) and workshops to create foundational transformation.
- Community and Resources – Resources to help you grow with confidence and creativity among a community of like-minded designers.
Everything here is grounded in real-world experience. I’ve poured my heart into this, and I hope it becomes a place where you feel seen, supported, and inspired to build the interior design business you want—wherever your dreams take you. We will be adding more templates and resources all the time, so check back often.
What to Expect Here
This blog will be a space where I share what I’ve learned—not just about running a business, but about staying connected to your purpose while doing it. I’ll talk about design, branding, client experience, and the moments that have shaped my own journey along the way.
If you’re a designer who loves what you do but sometimes struggles with how to make it all work, I hope you’ll find something here that resonates with you, supports you, or even sparks a new idea. Whether you’re just getting started or standing at your own crossroads, there is room for your version of success.
This new chapter of mine feels more personal and more exciting than anything I’ve pursued in a long time. I’m glad you’re here to be part of it.
If you’re ready to explore more, take a look around the website. And as always, I’d love to hear from you. Add your comments below, or get in touch here.
